- First and second day:
For a holiday full of relax the best places are the thermal baths.
First stop at San Casciano dei Bagni (Tuscany) in the Val d’Orcia, a village famous since the ancient times for its thermal waters; you can dive in the thermal waters of Bagno Grande or in Bagno Bossolo at 39 degrees centigrade.
At the Fonteverde Tuscan Resort & Spa you can dive in the thermal waters surrounded by a breath-taking view on the Tuscan hills.
- Third and fourth day:
Second stop at Saturnia in the Tuscan Maremma where you can also enjoy the unforgettable experience of the calcareous basins under the starlight.
Bagno Vignoni in the Val d'Orcia, a few kilometres from Siena, is a village unique in the world.
In the central square there is a large medieval basin where water flows from the thermal spring and slowly evaporates, creating a fairy-tale atmosphere that has amazed travellers of all time.
Around the basin there are the Renaissance buildings and the beautiful portico of St. Caterina from Siena which make the square so elegant. The waters go towards the near cliff where there are ancient underground mills with their basins (the former free thermal baths), meanwhile other waters feed the Spa centres born in the small village.
- Fifth day:
Next stop at Castrocaro Terme (Emilia Romagna)
Thermal baths complex with an art deco style, unique in Italy.
Two well preserved villages will be the last part of our Tuscan itinerary.
