Discovering Lake Maggiore and the Borromean islands...

• First day:
  Visit at Rocca Borromeo in Angera, rare example of a well preserved fortified medieval building built on a spur of rock that dominates the southern part of Lake Maggiore. Dinner and overnight stay at the ****“La Palma” hotel in Stresa.
• Secon day:
  Full day excursion dedicated to the area of Lake Maggiore and Borromean Islands.
  The Mother Island, the biggest of the islands, is characterized by the garden of rare plants and exotic flowers and by the 16th century palace, with its Borromeo family puppet theatre.
  ’Bella Island with its fascinating baroque palace and its beautiful garden which is regarded as the most splendid example of Italian- style baroque garden, divided in ten sloping terraces.
  
  Bella Island:
  Island Maggiore or Fishermen’s Island, with its characteristic curvy narrow streets and its small church of St.Vittore, will be the last part of our tour.
  
  Dinner at the “Piccolo Lago” restaurant in Verbania (Michelin and Gambero Rosso recommended restaurant).
• Third day:
  Visit at Villa Taranto in Verbania, a botanic park with thousands of plants imported from all around the world.
